Makers at the Museum – Introduction to printmaking

Ages 16 and up
Cost: $75 per person. Advance registration is required. 

Learn the basics of linocutting and print your own greeting cards! Participants in this workshop will learn beginner-friendly techniques, from transferring an image onto an engraving block, to using the appropriate tools for carving, inking, and printing. You’ll take home six cards to share with friends and family—create your own design or choose from a wide selection of templates. All skill levels welcome. Program supplies are included in the cost of registration; light refreshments will be served.

Makers at the Museum is a series hosted by the City of Ottawa Museums and Historic Sites that introduces participants to traditional handicrafts through beginner-friendly workshops led by skilled artisans.
