FULL: Makers at the Museum: Learn the Basics of Leatherworking

February 11 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Learn the basics of leather work and create your own traveler’s journal under the guidance of a leatherworker from Cumberland Heritage Village Museum. In this beginner leather course, participants will create a hand stitched, leather bound, journal with personalized embossed initials. Learn to layout, emboss, stitch, snap, set and rivet to create a heritage-style traveler’s journal. These skills will help provide a foundation to inspire future projects at home. Supplies for this project are included in the cost of registration. Light refreshments will be served.
Sunday, February 11 and Saturday, February 24 from 1 pm to 5 pm.
Ages 16 and up.
Cost: $100 per person (taxes included). Advance registration is required.
