MakerStudio Showcase (Open House!)

Saturday and Sunday, June 10 -11
10:30 am to 3:30 pm
Admission is by donation. This is a drop-in style event; registration is not required.

Come play, tinker, and create at Nepean Museum’s MakerStudio! Get hands-on with history as you enjoy S.T.E.A.M. inspired activities from across the City of Ottawa Museums and Historic Sites. This two-day open house will feature fun for the whole family including:

• contributing to our colourful sidewalk chalk quilt
• trying your hand at a simulated archeological dig
• letting your imagination run wild in a mini-quest from our popular Tales of the Magical Museum storytelling game (10:45 am, 1 pm, and 2:15 pm)
• challenging yourself to a Morse code scavenger hunt
• learning to weave on a loom

*In the event of inclement weather, outdoor activities may be adjusted or removed from the schedule.

The Nepean Museum MakerStudio offers programming throughout the year that allows participants to interact with local history from new perspectives through science, technology, engineering, arts, and math.
