Education Value and Curriculum Connections:

  • Grade 4 – Social Studies “The Political and Physical Regions of Canada”: draft questions that will focus on issues of responsible management of natural resources in one or two political or physical regions of Canada, while balancing the needs of the people, the economy and the environment.
  • Grade 5 – Social Studies “Canada’s Beginnings”: draft questions that will guide their investigation of the relationship between Indigenous communities and European explorers and settlers, particularly the French, in North America. The beginnings of Canada: describe various aspects of economic life in New France.
